Positions in this function are responsible for the management and manipulation of mostly structured data, with a focus on building business intelligence tools, conducting analysis to distinguish patterns and recognize trends, performing normalization operations and assuring data quality. Depending on the specific role and business line, example responsibilities in this function could include creating specifications to bring data into a common structure, creating product specifications and models, developing data solutions to support analyses, performing analysis, interpreting results, developing actionable insights, and presenting recommendations for use across the company. Roles in this function could partner with stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop tools and models such as segmentation, dashboards, data visualizations, decision aids and business case analysis to support the organization. Other roles involved could include producing and managing the delivery of activity and value analytics to external stakeholders and clients. Team members will typically use business intelligence, data visualization, query, analytic and statistical software to build solutions, perform analysis and interpret data. Positions in this function work on predominately descriptive and regression-based analytics and tend to leverage subject matter expert views in the design of their analytics and algorithms. This function is not intended for employees performing the following work: production of standard or self-service operational reporting, casual inference led (healthcare analytics) or data pattern recognition (data science) analysis; and/or image or unstructured data analysis using sophisticated theoretical frameworks.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Use Informatica PowerCenter to Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) source data from agency sources, applying numerous transformations to the data that are required, applying corrections to the source files and the addition to the EDW of any new fields requested via the change request process
2. Automate the staging of data by scheduling scripts to run at optimal times enhancing overall system performance and efficiency
3. Create, maintain, and support an ETL/Informatica architectural and system environment for development and production
4. Implementing ETL jobs by creating mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows
5. Working with different ETL transformations including Aggregator, Expression, Filter, Router, Sequence Generator, Update Strategy, Joiner, Rank and Source Qualifier, Lookup, and Sorter
6. Scheduling and monitoring ETL/Informatica jobs in a development, system testing, and production environment
7. Developing proactive processes for monitoring capacity and performance tuning
8. Supporting and advising the development teams on technical issues
9. Troubleshoot production support issues post release deployment and come up with solutions
10. Developing and maintaining complex SQL queries and/or scripts used to create data marts in Teradata
11. Participating in project discussions to document and recommend alternative technical solutions or requirements
12. Participating in unit, integration, and system testing
13. Maintaining effective communication and relationships with all individuals involved with the project
14. Learning new technologies as needed to be able to perform job duties effectively
15. Providing status progress and meeting deliverables to leadership and to customers

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of Informatica PowerCenter / ETL Experience
• 5+years of complex SQL and Performance Tuning Experience
• 5+ years of experience with RDBS databases - Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server
• 5+ years of experience with front-end data warehouse or similar processing which includes extracting data for large files from various sources, cleansing data, and preparing the data for loading into a data warehouse
• Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite of tools and VISIO in facilitating written communication such as developing status reports, creating/updating technical and procedure documentation, and communication with team members, end users and stakeholders
• Experience deploying program changes to production.
• Experience with State Medicaid / Medicare / Healthcare applications
• Proven excellent verbal/written communication skills, end-client facing, team collaboration, and mentoring skills
• Proven solid organization skills and ability to set priorities and schedule work deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ETL/Informatica or SQL or BI or Teradata Certification
• Experience working with Cognos
• Experience working with statistical reporting data tools such as SAS for large volume databases developing and maintaining production reports
• Experience working in Agile
• Experience with Data Warehouse technologies within the domain of ETL/data integration, Business Intelligence, relational and multi-dimensional database systems

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $89,900 to $160,600 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
