LHH is partnering with a client that is seeking Senior Buyer with specific experience in FOAM purchasing to join team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials and essential to the client's manufacturing and production operations. Your ability to build strong supplier relationships and ensure cost-effective procurement will directly impact the company's efficiency and client satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, cost, and delivery standards are met.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to forecast demand.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand material needs and timelines.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Requirements:
- 2-5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment for FOAM and other packaging materials SPECIFICALLY
- Bachelor of Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. (Preferred)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
