Job Description Summary
nThe Engineering Project Manager (EPM) is responsible for leading all Nodal Exchange Point (NXP) activities associated with design, integration and test in support of the MV-75 program. The EPM will provide business and technical direction for the product team, demonstrate the ability to identify and understand critical path dependencies, and take timely and appropriate action to meet program milestones while also managing technical requirements, cost, risk and quality.
nThis position, which offers a blend of onsite and hybrid work arrangements, is based in Grand Rapids, MI or Clearwater, FL and necessitates a presence in the office for 2-3 days each week.

nEssential Responsibilities

Lead an Integrated Project Team (IPT) as it develops its product to meet customer requirements for quality, cost, and schedule while maintaining alignment with the product road map strategies

Proactively initiate engagement across the IPT and serve as a technical / financial leader for the project through cross-functional teams (customers, program management, technical experts, software, systems, hardware, safety, and applications engineering teams) assuring “cradle to grave” success
n n - n
Manage risk, scope, schedule and cost changes within the project
n n - n
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to convey project status, garner support, relay concerns to the IPT, and resolve issues in a professional manner that is consistent with the company’s mission, values and financial objectives

Act as a mentor for other team members ensuring the core team builds strength and efficiency
n n - n
Travel to project sites to interface with IPT members and customers

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or technical field
n n - n
Minimum 10 years of experience with technical project leadership, systems engineering, or Avionics design
n n - n
This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status.

Knowledge of engineering processes including requirements definition, allocation, validation, verification and integration; embedded software; electronic systems; qualification testing; FAA/EASA/NAA certification; and system safety

Understanding of Avionics data communication technologies

Effective oral and written communication skills

Ability to successfully lead a team in a highly technical and matrixed environment

Aptitude to coordinate several tasks simultaneously

PMP certification

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
