Electrical Engineer Industrial Design Focus

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with an industrial design background to join our team in Tallahassee, FL. This role blends project management, electrical engineering, and design, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting industrial projects. What You'll Do

• Lead and support project teams, coordinating electrical designs with other disciplines and client requirements.
• Direct and mentor junior engineers and designers in document production.
• Interface with clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure successful project delivery.
• Develop electrical power system models using EasyPower software.
• Oversee the creation of instrument loop diagrams, motor schematics, plan drawings, schedules, and other project documentation using CAD.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (NFPA, NEC, and vendor requirements).

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 510 years of experience as an electrical engineer.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or the ability to obtain within 6 months (with willingness to pursue additional state licensure as needed).
• Proven knowledge of electrical standards, codes, and vendor equipment options.
• Experience in industrial design for grounding, lighting, and cable tray layouts.
• Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across teams and disciplines.
• Proficiency in power system design.
• Working knowledge of DCS, PLC systems, and control system networks (instrumentation & controls experience is a huge plus).
• Preferred: Experience with EasyPower or ETAP software.
