Electrical Engineer (PE)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Electrical Engineer with 8-15+ years of experience and a Professional Engineer (PE) license. The primary focus of this role will be managing a team of engineers, overseeing quality control of projects, and ensuring successful project completion, particularly within the healthcare sector. Candidates close to obtaining their PE are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  Design and supervise the design of specific projects, attend meetings, and collaborate with project team members to ensure detailed project documentation.

  Complete reports, specifications, and conduct code research to establish design criteria for projects.

• n

  Ensure project design and production efforts are completed within budget and on schedule.

• n

  Lead the design, documentation, and completion of lighting, power, and signal calculations.

• n

  Collaborate with the Discipline leader to communicate with clients and contractors.

• n

  Perform and supervise construction administration tasks.

  n
n
• n

  Supervise and mentor junior staff to aid in their development into experienced engineers.

• n

  Produce effective proposals and make presentations.

n

Essential Skills

n
• n

  Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

  n
n
• n

  Registered PE in at least one state with credentials suitable for registration in other states

  n
n
• n

  8+ years of experience in electrical engineering

  n
n
• n

  Strong management and team leadership skills

  n
n
• n

  Strong technical knowledge and application

  n
n
• n

  Knowledge of current codes and practices

  n
n
• n

  Experience with engineering calculation software and equipment selection programs

  n

• n

  Proficiency in REVIT

  n
n

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  Experience in healthcare or related project types

  Proficiency in AutoCAD and schematic design

  Experience in low voltage, construction administration, lighting, power, and signal calculations

Work Environment

The position operates on a hybrid schedule with a 36-hour workweek. On Monday and Wednesday, employees work 8 hours remotely, either from home or on-site if necessary. Tuesday and Thursday are designated for in-office work at the Office, including coordination and site visits as needed. Fridays consist of 4 hours of remote work from home.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.08 - $67.31/hr.
