Senior Corporate Tax Accountant

As a Senior Corporate Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing federal and state corporate tax compliance, preparing returns, tax provision reporting, and strategic tax planning. Collaborating across departments, you will leverage advanced tax technology and contribute to high-impact projects that shape the company's financial future.

Responsibilities

• Prepare federal and state corporate income tax returns, estimates, extensions, and provisions using CORPTAX.
• Lead tax compliance initiatives with a focus on automation and efficiency.
• Conduct in-depth tax research on diverse issues including IRC, state income tax, sales tax, international tax, and manufacturing accounting methods.
• Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and reporting.
• Respond to IRS and state tax authority inquiries and audits.
• Stay current on evolving tax laws and regulations impacting the business.
• Support indirect tax functions, including sales and property tax compliance.
• Manage fixed assets using SAGE and prepare tangible property tax returns.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support tax planning and special projects.
• Maximize use of technology to efficiently complete tax compliance functions.

Essential Skills

• Experience in corporate tax, tax accounting, and tax provision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
• Experience with federal and state tax, sales & use tax, and fixed assets accounting.
• Knowledge of tax software such as CORPTAX, SAP, SAP ERP, Prosystems, and Axcess.
• Ability to conduct tax research, tax return preparation, and tax analysis.
• Skills in account reconciliation and month-end reporting.
• Familiarity with IRS procedures and tax audits.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; Master's in Taxation or Accounting preferred.
• CPA certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in corporate income taxation.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong tax research, writing, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.

This position offers a hybrid work opportunity with 2 days working from home, increasing flexibility as tenure grows. The office is located in a beautiful downtown WPB setting. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
