Senior Consultant, Data Management Governance - AI and Data Science

Job Purpose and Impact

The Senior Consultant for AI Data Management & Governance will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, compliance, and trustworthiness of Cargill's AI ecosystem, which includes MLOps, LLMOps, third-party SaaS assistants, and agentic-process-automation platforms. You will collaborate with Security, Legal, Data Privacy, Platform Engineering, and Product teams to assess AI-specific risks such as model bias, prompt injection, and tool misuse while creating effective enterprise controls.

Key Accountabilities

• Strategic Planning: Establish AI-specific risk categories and conduct sophisticated risk assessments that align with business impacts.
• Policy Development & Governance: Maintain AI risk registers and develop due-diligence playbooks for various AI technologies. Contribute to the AI Technology Governance Policy and align internal standards with external regulations.
• Data Quality: Translate policies into actionable technical controls and verify their implementation in MLOps/LLMOps pipelines. Lead control testing and reviews of Responsible AI practices.
• Compliance & Risk Management: Stay updated on global AI regulations and facilitate audits and certifications.
• Data Operations & Stewardship: Define key risk indicators and performance metrics to monitor AI processes effectively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; typically requires 5 or more years.
• Preferred: 6 years of experience and 2+ years leading teams on tech risk, specifically in AI/ML and cloud SaaS.

Compensation Data

The expected salary for this position ranges from $105,000 to $155,000, depending on various factors including location, certifications, education, and experience. This role also includes eligibility for a discretionary incentive award based on both company performance and personal contributions.
