nAbout this role:
nJoin CBRE as a Building Senior Engineer and become a key player in maintaining and optimizing complex building systems. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the performance and operations of critical infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, heating, and cooling systems. As part of our Engineering and Technical Services team, you'll provide expert support, conduct preventive maintenance, and perform repairs to ensure our facilities run efficiently and safely.

A valid Third Class Engineer License issued by the state of Massachusetts is required. This license qualifies you as Engineer-in-Charge of boilers and is needed for this position.
nWhat You'll Do:
nAssign work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies and tools.
nPerform maintenance and repairs to sophisticated mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems. Keep facility and building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
nFollow all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations and work safety.
nCoordinate and inspect the work performed by outside contractors. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisors.
nDirect the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life. Perform repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
nReview and sign off on inspections of building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by the client.
nApply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
nMentor others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
nLead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.
nImpact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.
nContribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans in support of achieving functional goals.
nWhat You'll Need:
nHigh School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. Universal CFC certification required.
n3rd Class Engineer License is required
nAdditional certification in one or more of the following: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
nMeet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
nThe innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions.
nAbility to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions having a broad impact on the business.
nIn-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
nExpert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive pers pective.

nApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
nCBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including
na candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position
nis or $37.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is
n$65.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate
nwill depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
