Senior Aruba Network Engineer

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Aruba Network Engineer, where you will leverage your extensive expertise in Aruba networking technologies to support our federal government client. In this role, you will design and implement cutting-edge wireless solutions utilizing Aruba core and access switches, including ClearPass, wireless controllers, and switches. Your knowledge of Granite SDWAN and Zscaler will be invaluable as you work to integrate these technologies while ensuring federal security compliance. A current Public Trust clearance and prior experience in federal environments are essential.

Primary Responsibilities

• Aruba 6400/6300 Implementation & Migration: Deploy and configure Aruba 6400 core switches and execute the migration to Aruba 6300M switches for a fully optimized wireless environment. Ensure seamless integration with Cisco Nexus 7Ks.
• Aruba Solution Design & ClearPass: Architect, configure, and deploy Aruba solutions, including Mobility Controllers and Access Points. Manage Aruba ClearPass for access control and network security.
• SD-WAN Integration (Granite): Collaborate with teams to integrate and manage Granite SDWAN solutions, ensuring efficient connectivity and circuit upgrades.
• Zscaler Configuration: Implement and maintain Zscaler Internet Access and Private Access for secure internet and SaaS access.
• Network Security & Compliance: Adhere to federal security standards such as NIST and FISMA. Implement zero-trust security measures across the network.
• Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct rigorous testing and validation, and efficiently resolve complex network issues.
• Performance Optimization & Automation: Monitor network performance and leverage automation tools to enhance operations.
• Technical Documentation & Stakeholder Collaboration: Develop clear documentation and communicate updates with all stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Expertise with Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
• Proficient in firewall management and load balancer configuration.
• Strong network administration and engineering skills.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex networking issues.

Basic Qualifications

• Clearance: Active Public Trust clearance.
• Federal Experience: At least 3 years of experience with federal government contracts or agencies.
• Aruba & Networking Expertise: Proficient in designing and deploying Aruba network solutions and experience with Granite SDWAN and Zscaler.
• Education: BS in Information Technology or related field with 8-12 years of relevant experience; or a Master's degree with 6-10 years; or a Doctorate with equivalent experience.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with proven documentation experience.
• Must be located in the D.C. Metro Area and available for onsite work.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced Aruba Certifications and other relevant networking/security certifications.
• Expertise in cloud security products and zero-trust architecture.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Ansible) for automation.

Pay Range: Pay Range $89,700.00 - $162,150.00
