We collaborate across departments to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and deliver data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making. This role plays a vital part in enhancing operational efficiency and enabling Walmart to meet its complex tax obligations at scale.

What You'll Do

• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for tax technology solutions.
• Leverage tools like Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL to analyze large datasets and identify opportunities to streamline tax processes.
• Support the implementation and optimization of tax software applications to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
• Monitor and evaluate tax technology performance, recommending enhancements to improve accuracy, scalability, and user experience.

What You'll Bring:

• A bachelor's or master's degree in information technology, accounting, economics, or a related field
• 13 years of experience in a tax technology or similar role
• Hands-on experience using Vertex, OneSource, Python, Alteryx, Power BI, and SQL to support and enhance tax operations
• A detail-oriented and analytical mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and curiosity to drive continuous improvement

The annual salary range for this position is $70,000.00-$130,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field OR 2 years' experience in accounting, finance, income tax compliance, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

License to practice law in at least one state J.D., Masters: Accounting, Masters: Business, Masters: Economics, Masters: Finance, Masters: Law Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Certificate
