Position: Senior Analog Mixed Signals Custom Layout Engineer

Locations: Bay Area, Austin, Boston, San Diego (US) - 100% on site OR Ottawa, Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal (Canada) - 100% on site

We are looking for experienced Senior Analog Mixed Signals Custom Layout Engineer with a strong background in analog and RF layout design, particularly in advanced FinFET technologies (7nm and below). This role involves working on high-performance, high-speed mixed-signal ICs and requires deep expertise in custom layout design and EDA tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute custom layout design for analog and mixed-signal components.

• Lead and contribute to the development of complex IC layouts for high-speed applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design integrity and performance. Optimize layout for manufacturability, reliability, and performance.

• Experience in UVM and constrained-random simulation environments. Strong programming/scripting skills in SystemVerilog, Verilog, C/C , Python, Perl, Tcl, or Shell.

• Solid grasp of digital design fundamentals, computer architecture, and verification methodologies.

• Familiarity with 3D pipelines, GPUs, or graphics industry standards is a plus. Proficient in using EDA tools for simulation, waveform analysis, and coverage.

• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team. Self-driven and capable of managing tasks independently

Minimum Qualifications:

• 6 years of hands-on experience in analog and RF layout (10 years preferred).

• Proven expertise in custom layout of analog components in TSMC FinFET technologies (7nm and newer).

• Strong experience with analog blocks such as SerDes, PLLs, ADCs, DACs, Bandgap references, LDOs, VCOs , etc.

• Proficiency in Cadence Virtuoso and SKILL-based automation . Ability to independently resolve DRC/LVS issues .

• Deep familiarity with Siemens Calibre and other industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor). Solid understanding of floor planning , block-level routing , and top-level chip assembly .

• Knowledge of advanced layout techniques including thermal-aware design , electro-migration considerations , and layer generation
