Job Purpose and Impact: As our Senior AI Platform Engineer for AI Assistants & AI Agents, you will ensure the safety, currency, and performance of Cargill's enterprise AI-assistant platform, including ChatGPT Enterprise and M365 Copilots. You will be responsible for configuration management, version upgrades, license governance, and first-line Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) for our core services. Your success will be measured by achieving zero unplanned downtime during upgrades, maintaining a 99.9% platform availability, ensuring audit-ready compliance, and receiving positive Net Promoter Scores (NPS) from users and builder teams.

Key Accountabilities:

• Plan, test, and execute rolling upgrades for LLM runtimes, agent-orchestration frameworks, and related services.
• Enforce best practices in Identity and Access Management (IAM), secrets-rotation, data classification, and Responsible AI guidelines.
• Track license usage while optimizing expenditures.
• Instrument Service Level Indicators (SLIs) such as authentication latency and inference success rates, and uphold Service Level Objectives (SLOs).
• Analyze GPU/CPU utilization, prompt accuracy, evaluation frameworks, vector-search query latency, and agent throughput.
• Implement auto-scaling policies, caching strategies, and cost-control dashboards.
• Create accessible how-to guides and conduct live workshops to enhance the skillset of product teams on safe prompt engineering, RAG patterns, and platform APIs.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, typically reflecting 5 years or more in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 6 years of experience administering Enterprise AI SaaS applications.
