Leidos is excited to announce an opening for a Senior Aerospace Manufacturing Expert to support a vital customer initiative. Join a highly skilled team delivering analytic expertise in launch vehicle and missile systems, satellite technology, and C4ISR.
We are seeking a candidate who boasts substantial experience in the design, manufacturing, and testing of aerospace systems, including aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicles, and missiles. If you possess not only deep technical knowledge but also the ability to advise, mentor, and engage effectively with senior government stakeholders, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Aerospace Manufacturing Expert will:
Exhibit expertise in aerospace manufacturing methods, materials, and tooling, especially in ballistic missile production.
Collaborate in team settings while maintaining the independence to operate with minimal supervision.
Provide strategic advice and support to government clients regarding materials, equipment, and infrastructure tied to ballistic missile production.
Deliver high-quality training and specialized courses on Missile Materials and Machine Tools.
Leverage hands-on experience in missile and/or rocket engine manufacturing methods, tooling, procedures, and testing.
Mentor junior team members, fostering their technical and professional growth.
Be prepared to travel as needed; a valid U.S. passport is essential.
Basic Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree in engineering, aerospace, or a related field with 15+ years of professional experience in aerospace manufacturing; 13+ years of experience required with a Master's Degree.
Possess at least a secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
A Master's degree in engineering, physics, or a related technical discipline.
15-20 years of hands-on experience in aerospace or missile manufacturing.
Familiarity with foreign ballistic missile systems is a plus.
Experience with U.S. military aerospace systems.
An active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph is preferred.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $134,550.00 - $243,225.00
