Senior Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to lead a project aimed at documenting all processes in collaboration with the Accounting Manager. The goal is to create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to streamline future requirements. This role involves working with Oracle Cloud and Excel Pivot Tables, reconciling general ledger accounts, and managing cash disbursements, including intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities

• Document processes and create SOPs for various accounting activities.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare cash disbursements and manage intercompany transactions.
• Assist with month-end closing activities.
• Monitor vendor accounts and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Input payroll and bank transactions.
• Provide backup for accounts payable and receivables functions.
• Lead the project of documenting processes for accounting activities.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Oracle Cloud.
• Expertise in Excel Pivot Tables.
• Experience in documentation processes and SOP creation.
• Understanding of month-end processes and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of SOX audit procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Strong understanding of cash disbursement processes.
• Experience in monitoring and resolving invoice discrepancies.
• Familiarity with payroll and bank transaction input.
• Capability to backup accounts payable/receivables functions.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Torrance, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
