Role Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to our financial growth and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a particular focus on the unique needs and challenges of the manufacturing sector. They will bring a keen eye for detail, a commitment to accuracy, and a talent for problem-solving. The role demands a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software, as well as an ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing daily accounting operations, including the preparation and review of financial statements and reports.
• Ensuring compliance with state, federal, and international financial regulations and standards.
• Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
• Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
• Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
• Coordinating with the accounting team to complete annual audits.
• Identifying opportunities for process and operational improvements.
• Providing support and guidance to junior staff members, as needed.
• Conducting regular ledger reconciliation and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborating with other departments to streamline operations and improve financial performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a focus on the manufacturing industry.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including preparation of financial reports, budgets, and financial forecasts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other accounting software.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to mentor and develop junior staff members.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
