Senior Accountant

This role requires the establishment and management of all day-to-day accounting functions including invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, depreciation schedules, banking activity, expense management, accruals, cash management, and the overall general ledger. The candidate will collaborate with HR to support payroll functions and oversee payroll-related reporting such as project management and labor tracking tools. The position involves managing daily, weekly, monthly, and annual activities accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner in accordance with GAAP. The role also includes overseeing the issuance of timely financial performance reports and analyses on a weekly and monthly basis, designing and implementing effective internal controls and processes, preparing packages for company stakeholders, assisting with resource requirements, cash flow models, and business segment analyses, managing quarterly income tax filings in multiple states, and fostering an environment of continuous improvement to streamline accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Establish and manage day-to-day accounting functions including invoicing, AR, AP, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules.
• Collaborate with HR to support payroll functions and oversee payroll-related reporting.
• Manage all financial activities in accordance with GAAP.
• Oversee issuance of financial performance reports and analyses.
• Design and implement internal controls to ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare and coordinate stakeholder packages, assist with cash flow models and business analyses.
• Manage quarterly income tax filings in multiple states.
• Identify and implement process changes to increase efficiencies.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of combined experience in construction and business analysis.
• 2+ years of experience with a Construction ERP (Sage preferred).
• Proficiency in accounting, general ledger, financial statements, construction accounting, AP, AR, GL, P&L, and audit.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• CPA License (expired or in progress).
• Comfortable working with C-Suite executives.
• Experience in accounts payable, reporting, fixed assets, and accounts receivable.

This is a Permanent position based out of Phoenix, Arizona.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
