Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Senior Accountant who will play a crucial role in executing month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This position requires a strong ability to maintain general ledger integrity and contribute to the preparation of SEC filings and other regulatory reports.

Responsibilities

• Execute month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Post journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity.
• Contribute to the preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q) and other regulatory reports, including preparing schedules for footnotes and responding to audit queries.
• Assist in the coordination and execution of foreign statutory audits, providing documentation and resolving auditor inquiries.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and support business decisions.
• Clean up and reconcile balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies across financial statements and sub-ledgers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and reporting.
• Assist management in SOX compliance.
• Participate in ad hoc projects.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency in Excel, including the ability to work with large datasets, pivot tables, and lookups.

Essential Skills

• Strong proficiency in Excel is essential.
• Experience with large datasets, pivot tables, and lookups.
• Knowledge of NetSuite is preferred.
• Experience in financial statement preparation, journal entry posting, and general ledger maintenance.
• Understanding of regulatory reporting, SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q), and SOX compliance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite is preferred but not required.
• Understanding of GAAP principles.
• Ability to conduct variance analysis and support business decision-making.

Work Environment

This position operates in a hybrid work environment, requiring three days in-office.

This is a full time, Hybrid role based out of Chicago, Illinois

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
