Job Description

As a Security Professional - Retail Patrol Driver in Topeka, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout a retail location. Your role involves providing exceptional customer service, supporting a secure environment, and communicating clearly with visitors and staff. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for patrolling the premises by vehicle. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain a welcoming environment for customers and staff.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail business and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
• Observe and report any irregularities such as property damage, theft, or unauthorized persons on the premises.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, employees, and management as needed.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Complete required reports and logs in a timely and accurate manner.
• Follow all company and site-specific protocols as directed by Allied Universal and location management.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
