As a Security Officer University Patrol Full-Time in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a valued member of the Allied Universal team, you will serve as an unarmed patrol officer at an educational location, helping to create a secure and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. In this primarily driving post, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the campus, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide support as needed. Your role will include engaging with the campus community, responding to requests for assistance, and delivering exceptional customer service through clear and professional communication. Mon 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Tue 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Fri 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Sat 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

Sun 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing Allied Universal training and protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or behaviors.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors by providing information and directions as needed while maintaining a visible presence.
• Document all incidents and interactions according to Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as directed in the event of an emergency or critical incident.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements; this is preferred for primarily driving posts.
• A Guard Card or security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
