As a Security Officer - Unarmed Logistics Patrol Specialist in Suffolk, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the site. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and delivering outstanding customer service to everyone on site. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or prohibited activities within the logistics and distribution environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, site personnel, and visitors as needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
