Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Logistics Patrol in Chantilly, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and interact with employees and visitors to provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Day Time Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Document and report any security-related incidents or irregularities according to established procedures.
• Collaborate with site personnel and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential issues and provide assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
