Job Description

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Healthcare Site in Sturgis, MI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will play a crucial role in helping to maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and promptly responding to situations as they arise. You will interact with a diverse group of people and provide outstanding customer service, assisting with inquiries and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or access, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the location.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and site leadership.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to maintain order within the healthcare location.
• Support emergency response protocols and assist first responders as needed, following established procedures for healthcare settings.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
