As a Security Officer - Telecom Site - Afternoon Shift in Boise , ID , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to create a secure environment at a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your main responsibilities will include monitoring access points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to help to deter potential security-related incidents. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing outstanding customer service and clear communication while maintaining a visible presence throughout your assigned area. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. You may be stationed at unique on-site facilities, contributing to the overall experience and embracing the agile and reliable culture that defines Allied Universal. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or breaches.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activities, or concerns according to company policies.
• Collaborate with team members and site management to address security-related needs specific to the tech, media, and telecom environment.
• Remain alert to potential risks associated with the location and provide assistance to employees, visitors, and contractors as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver's license is required in the job state.
• Experience in customer service, comfort using a computer or tablet, and ability to work at sites with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets or rustic guard shacks are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
