Job Description

As a Security Officer - Supercenter Patrol in Gallup, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for visitors and staff. Your visible patrols and attentive customer service will contribute to a positive environment, while your commitment to Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and integrity will shine through in every interaction. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties, making a real impact in a dynamic retail setting.

Pay Rate: $16.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Wed 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM Thur 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM Fri 12:00 PM - 12:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance issues within the location.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points as required by site procedures.
• Support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence and reporting any unusual behavior or incidents.
• Collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs and concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Experience providing customer service is preferred.
• Experience using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
