As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling assigned shelter locations. You will help to deter security-related incidents by remaining visible, conducting routine patrols, and providing excellent customer service to all individuals on site. Your role is vital in maintaining a secure environment and supporting the well-being of those within the shelter. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $16.80 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime: Thur 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or situations.
• Monitor the shelter environment for any unusual or suspicious activity and report findings in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist residents, staff, and visitors with inquiries and direct them appropriately within the shelter.
• Communicate and collaborate with shelter staff and Allied Universal management regarding security-related concerns and/or site updates.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
