As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and customers. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. By remaining visible and approachable, you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide assistance as needed. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.25/Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the location, verifying credentials of employees, vendors, and visitors as required.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues and identify any unusual activity.
• Document and report any incidents, irregularities, or suspicious behavior in accordance with Allied Universal and client policies.
• Assist with crowd management and help to maintain order during peak business hours or special events within the location.
• Work collaboratively with location staff and law enforcement as needed to address security-related concerns or emergencies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
