Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Eugene, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a dynamic retail location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help create a secure environment for customers and staff. You will stay visible throughout the premises to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to situations as they arise, and provide exceptional customer service. This position requires driving as part of your responsibilities. • Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Wed 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and responding to situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns in accordance with established guidelines.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, disturbances, and other unwanted activity within the location.
• Assist visitors and staff with directions and general inquiries as needed.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when appropriate and as directed by site policies.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, patrols, and other assigned duties.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
