Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Site Patrols in Auburn, WA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents and creating a welcoming environment for visitors and tenants. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity, and responding promptly to calls for assistance. You will interact with the public, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. This position requires driving as part of your patrol duties, so a valid driver's license is needed. Pay Rate: $19.25 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual circumstances.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to assist customers and staff as needed.
• Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and maintenance issues according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as directed during incidents or emergencies.
• Follow post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal management and the client.
• Remain alert and attentive to surroundings, communicating any concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
• Possession of a Guard Card and/or security license is preferred.
• Current CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
