As a Security Officer - Retail Access Control in Morehead, KY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and promote a welcoming atmosphere within a retail location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols to maintain a secure environment for customers and staff. You will be a visible presence, providing excellent customer service and clear communication while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including access control measures.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity within the retail location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site requirements.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behavior within the retail location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
