Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol Driver in Alvarado, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and offering a welcoming presence to all who visit. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you will be responsible for driving as part of your duties. Pay Rate: $15.87 / Hour

Day Time Mon 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Tue 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Wed 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

Sun 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain an orderly environment.
• Observe and report any suspicious behavior or activities in and around the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Work collaboratively with fellow Allied Universal personnel and client staff to support a secure and welcoming environment for visitors and employees.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
