As a Security Officer - Industrial Patrol Unarmed in Waterloo, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible throughout the facility. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, assisting employees and visitors, and providing excellent customer service and communication. This primarily driving post offers the opportunity to be part of a collaborative team that values reliability, innovation, and integrity, all while making a positive impact in a dynamic environment.

Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and address security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activities or potential hazards encountered during patrols, documenting findings as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
• Assist with controlling access to designated areas by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points in accordance with site procedures.
• Communicate professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors to address inquiries and provide assistance when appropriate.
• Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to support security-related initiatives and maintain a visible presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to provide proof as required by the client.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements; driving posts are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
