Job Description

As a Security Officer Hospital Patrol Screener in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol healthcare locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your presence will support a welcoming and secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct regular patrols, respond to incidents, and communicate clearly with all individuals on site. Mon 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Tue 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Fri 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sat 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

Sun 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized individuals from restricted areas.
• Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and/or patients to provide assistance and enforce security-related protocols.
• Document incidents and observations according to site and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be able to receive all required hospital vaccinations as a condition of assignment.
• Must be able to work in hospital environments including morgue areas as needed.
• Must be able to physically restrain individuals in a hospital setting as required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
