As a Security Officer - Healthcare Site - Evening Shifts in Alabaster, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will play a key role in maintaining a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, remaining highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. You will act as a trusted presence, responding promptly to any security-related concerns while upholding the caring culture and integrity that define Allied Universal. Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare environments.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
• Assist with access control procedures, including monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Support hospital staff during emergency situations by following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to patients, visitors, and staff.
• Complete required reports and documentation accurately and promptly as directed by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Must have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
