As a Security Officer in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your presence and attentive customer service will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while your communication skills will support positive interactions throughout the facility. This is a driving post, so you will be responsible for operating a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies in a healthcare environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for healthcare locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious behavior.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to site procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuations and/or medical emergencies when appropriate.
• Collaborate with facility staff and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters and maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
