Job Description

As a Security Officer - Government Entry Screener in Fairfield, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Screener with Allied Universal at a government location, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment for all visitors and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring entry points, conducting screening procedures, and remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will interact with a diverse range of individuals, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while upholding the highest standards of professionalism. Day Time Mon 12:30 PM - 09:30 PM

Tue 12:30 PM - 09:30 PM

Wed 12:30 PM - 09:30 PM

Thur 12:30 PM - 09:30 PM

Fri 12:30 PM - 09:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen individuals entering the location, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.
• Monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized access to the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of screening activities and incidents as required by the site.
• Stay alert to potential security-related concerns and report observations to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
