As a Security Officer - Front Desk Monitor in Overland Park, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic technology, media, and telecom location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees. Your role includes monitoring access, assisting with visitor management, and providing exceptional customer service to help create a welcoming and secure environment. You will play a key part in helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and communication skills, all while embracing our values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity in every interaction.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Monitor visitor access and check credentials, helping to deter unauthorized entry to the location.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of all front desk activities, including visitor logs and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with employees, guests, and vendors to address inquiries or direct them appropriately.
• Collaborate with Allied Universal supervisors and/or site leadership regarding any security-related concerns or unusual activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
