Security Officer - Front Desk - Full Time

As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and staff, providing a welcoming presence while monitoring access and assisting with security-related matters. You will help to deter incidents by maintaining a visible presence and supporting access control procedures, all while delivering outstanding customer service. Tue 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Wed 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Thur 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

Fri 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk of a healthcare location.
• Monitor access to the facility, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, visitor check-ins, and any unusual occurrences.
• Assist with emergency response activities as directed, communicating promptly with appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
• Support the overall security-related operations of the location by remaining alert and attentive to potential risks or suspicious activity.
• Communicate professionally and courteously with all individuals at the front desk, providing information and assistance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
• A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
