As a Security Officer - Unarmed Campus Patrol in Springfield, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence at an educational location. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate: $17.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Tue 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Wed 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Fri 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the education location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with students, faculty, and visitors while maintaining a visible Allied Universal presence.
• Follow all post orders and instructions provided by Allied Universal and site management.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.

Minimum Requirements:

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
