Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Government Full-Time

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Government Full-Time in Tacoma, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations to help create a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you interact with the public, provide exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and support access control measures, all while embodying our values of agility, reliability, innovation, and teamwork. Pay Rate: $22.26 / Hour

Day Time Mon 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Tue 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Wed 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Thur 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

Fri 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and/or activities within the location.
• Document incidents and daily activities as required by site protocols.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, staff, and/or emergency responders as situations require.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Experience using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
