As a Security Officer - Chemical Site Patrol - Full Time in Hopewell, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a chemical and petrochemical location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Your visible presence and routine patrols will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere, while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication. Mon 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

Tue 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

Fri 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards.
• Monitor access points and observe for any unusual or suspicious activity within the chemical or petrochemical environment.
• Communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and client representatives regarding incidents or security-related concerns.
• Document all incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Assist with the implementation of emergency procedures specific to the chemical or petrochemical location, including evacuation or lockdown as directed.
• Support a secure environment for personnel, visitors, and property by maintaining a visible presence and engaging with individuals as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• Applicants must provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• A valid state, county, or city issued security license is required or preferred based on local regulations.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
