As a Security Officer - Armed Utility Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a utilities location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned area, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed post, requiring you to carry and maintain proficiency with a firearm as part of your daily duties. You will interact with employees, visitors, and contractors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.34 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report observations according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
• Interact professionally with visitors, employees, and/or contractors at the location.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client site protocols for armed patrol posts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Level III Armed Certification for Texas is required.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• Must be 21 years of age 
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
