As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Helena, MT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a government location. Your responsibilities will include conducting routine patrols throughout the assigned area, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that may arise. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while armed, following established protocols for government locations.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following all instructions and procedures for government environments.
• Remain alert and attentive to changing conditions within the location, adapting responses as appropriate to maintain a secure environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License as required by applicable law.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess one or more of the following
• Minimum of two (2) years of armed security experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
• Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian)
• Verifiable work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections
• Able to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors
• Demonstrated ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public
• Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly, and accurately; able to speak, read, and write fluently in English
• Problem solving skills; able to assess and evaluate situations effectively; identify critical issues quickly and accurately
• Attention to detail; able to compile, sort, and interpret data
• Active listening skills; able to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
