Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Mall Patrol in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the premises. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, responding to incidents as needed, and providing outstanding customer service to guests and staff. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $23.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activities.
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities encountered during patrols.
• Communicate and collaborate with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns.
• Remain alert and prepared to respond to emergencies or requests for assistance in a timely manner.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearm in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws, demonstrating responsible and professional conduct at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active armed guard card or license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
