Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Patrol in Orangeburg, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. You will conduct regular patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond calmly and use problem-solving skills during incidents and critical situations within the healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain order.
• Interact professionally with staff, patients, and visitors, offering assistance and guidance as needed.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when required by site protocols.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and report any unusual or suspicious activity promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by applicable laws and regulations.
• Have at least 6 months of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
