Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Healthcare Site Patrol in Killeen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. This role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and delivering exceptional customer service. This is an armed and driving position, requiring you to respond promptly to incidents and communicate clearly with all individuals on site. Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff and visitors to address concerns and provide assistance as needed.
• Remain alert to unusual activity and/or conditions that may require intervention or escalation.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Level III Armed Certification is required for positions in Texas.
• Must be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
