Job Description

As a Security Officer in Winnemucca, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an armed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and fostering a secure environment for all occupants. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor for suspicious activity and report findings according to established protocols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to those at the location.
• Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal policies.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services as needed.
• Operate and maintain assigned equipment, including firearms, in accordance with training and company policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military roles.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
