As a Security Officer - Access Control - Full Time in West Point, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will interact with employees and visitors, manage access points, and maintain a visible presence to support a secure environment. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license in the job state is required. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Assist with access control duties, verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by communicating site-specific policies and procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to observe for any security-related concerns.
• Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal procedures.
• Support emergency response activities as directed by site policies and Allied Universal protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Security Administration is required.
• Proof of high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license in the state where the job is located is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
