As a Security Officer - Access Control - Part Time in Elkton, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading food and beverage location, you will play a vital role in helping to maintain a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. Your responsibilities will include monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility to help deter security-related incidents. Pay Rate: $16.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by implementing access control procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations.
• Monitor entry and exit points within the food and beverage facility to help to deter unauthorized access and/or breaches of security-related protocols.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business premises and surrounding perimeter to help to deter security-related incidents.
• Interact with personnel, visitors, and/or vendors in a courteous manner while verifying identification and granting access as appropriate for the location.
• Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual activity, or policy violations according to Allied Universal procedures and client requirements.
• Collaborate with other Allied Universal team members to support a secure environment within the food and beverage facility.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
