Field Technician
Apex Systems is seeking a Field Technician professional for an opportunity with our Security System client. The Field Technician will work both inside and outside the home and is responsible for the installation, service, and customer experience of the new home security system. This individual should be customer focused and committed to ensuring the highest degree of end-user satisfaction, as well as being well versed in the fundamentals of residential customer wiring and installation.
Job Requirements:
- Must possess a strong commitment to customer service and an enthusiastic demeanor
- Alarm installation experience
- Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a criminal and DMV background check
Key Competencies:
- Installation and termination security equipment, coax cable
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Identifying and recommending additional equipment and services based on customer needs
- Educating customer about ordered services
- Verification of service
- Proficiency in low voltage cable installation techniques
- Working knowledge of tools used in alarm industries
- Inventory management and accuracy
Important Qualifications:
- Basic electrical and mechanical or IT knowledge
- Willingness and desire to learn
- Customer service/people skills
- Valid driver's license
- ***MUST be willing to use your own reliable vehicle that can hold a 6-8 foot ladder
- Mileage reimbursement up to 600 miles weekly
Do you have experience as Electrician Apprentice, Maintenance Technician, Cable Installer, JR. Network Engineer, Electrician, HVAC Technician, and Electronic Technician? You could be the PERFECT fit!
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Installs, dismantles, and reconstructs low voltage electrical equipment required by customer or company order.
- Makes connections and required adjustments as directed; test operation of all components of each system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service.
- Promptly reports defective material or equipment, inaccuracies or omissions in job information that may result in inadequate protection for customer use.
- Cleans up debris from installation, patches drill holes, and returns unused materials.
Education/Work Experience Required:
- High School degree or equivalent mandatory.
- Electronic Trade School training a plus
- 1-2 years of maintenance/installation or similar experience is desired
