Security Installation Technician

We are seeking a skilled Security Installation Technician with experience in fire alarms, security systems, or other low-voltage installations. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams, and will be comfortable working with hand and power tools. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential, as well as a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain fire alarms and security systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
• Assemble and wire systems according to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure all installations comply with NFPA codes, NEC, and other relevant standards.
• Work safely and effectively with hand and power tools.
• Provide excellent communication and customer service.

Essential Skills

• Experience with installation, construction, assembly, and wiring.
• Troubleshooting and electrical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of NFPA codes, NEC, and other relevant standards.
• Familiarity with major brands and systems (e.g., Honeywell, Bosch, DSC).

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mankato, Minnesota.

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $36.00/hr.
